Mateo & Matos finally emerge from the studio with this new 4-tracker for Large Music. "Comin Your Way" gets the ball rolling with a thick bassline, warm chords, shuffling house beats, and a ragga-touched vocal snippet all combining for some quality late night house grooves. The "Large Dub" take fattens out the bassline and runs subtle delays over the majority of ingredients, dropping the warmth of the chords to the back of the mix on a driving slice of low-slung house. On the flipside, "Something I Wanna Say" blends a grooving bassline with strong chord stabs, stellar analog keys, shuffling beats, and superb horns on more house excellence from the NYC duo. The EP s title track, "Lost In Thought" closes things out with a dubby bassline, bubbling synths, jazzy keys and sax, and more late night house beats working the floor crowds once more.
